Eyelash Extension Training Workshops
Since 2005, Pretty In The City has built a reputation of applying the best sets of Eyelash Extensions in Toronto. Our applications are the most durable, comfortable to wear and incredibly natural looking. We are now offering training workshops teaching the art and science of applying Eyelash Extensions. The workshops are taught by Master Stylist Veronica Tran, who is one of the first in Toronto to specialize in individual eyelash extensions. Veronica Tran is regarded within the industry as one of the leading experts in this specialized service, and has been mentioned in many national publications such as Flare and Fashion, as well, have made television appearances on MuchMusic and most recently, E-talk.
Learn from the best! The biggest advantage to our workshop is that you are learning directly from a working professional in the field. With over 6 years of hands on experience, you will learn first hand knowledge of all the ins and outs of the service and business. The 2 day intensive workshop will cover both theoretical and practical instruction and will run approximately 8-9 hours each day, longer if necessary. Class size is kept to a maximum of 6 students per session. After theory is discussed and evaluated, students will then move on to practical work. Students will first work on a mannequin, and then on each other in order to fully understand and experience the procedure. Afterwards, students have the option of ‘shadowing’ our Master stylist (or stylists if Master stylist is unavailable) during an actual client appointment to further enhance their education. Following the course, students are required to practice on friends and family. When ready, an appointment is made for a practical examination. A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of an Eyelash Extension application on a live model, in a prescribed amount of time. A student is usually ready for the practical examination after applying approximately 15-20 full sets. Out of town students will need to submit 20 pictures of their work and complete a second written examination in order for certification.

Our next workshop is tentatively scheduled for Sunday July 29th and Monday July 30th, 2012. Cost for workshop is $1250 plus HST per student. Space is limited to 6 students per class so please register early to avoid disapointment. A starter kit (worth $400) is available to students for $250 plus HST, however all necessary tools and supplies will be provided during the workshop. To register and reserve your spot for the workshop, a $200 deposit is required and is fully refundable if cancelled not less than 7 days prior to the start of the class. Full payment is required one week prior to workshop date. Semi-private (maximum 2 students, cost $1500 + HST each) and one on one classes (cost $1750 + HST) are also available.
